Here is a painting Dan did at Family Life Christian Center in Federal Way, Washington on April 5th, 2009. The theme of the sermon was heaven. This painting depicts believers through the ages on a long victorious procession to heaven; generation upon generation of saints sweeping swiftly past the viewer on their way to the presence of God. For Christians, the point of heaven is not merely making it to some ambiguous and distant destination of paradise, but to be ushered into the very presence of Jesus Christ. Where Christ is, heaven is. Where Christ is not, there can be no heaven, ever, no matter how marvelous that destination. We find all our hope and fulfillment in Jesus alone.
